WHICH CERTIFICATION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Here are the requirements:

aPHR (HRCI Associate Professional in Human Resources)

  • A high school diploma or global equivalent. This is the perfect program for recent college graduates, armed services men and women making the transition to civilian life, or other professionals seeking a career transition into the HR field.

PHR (HRCI Professional in Human Resources)

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a professional-level HR position with a Master’s degree or higher, OR
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a Bachelor’s degree.

SHRM-CP (SHRM – Certified Professional)

  • Currently in HR role with a HR-Related Master’s degree or higher, or 1 year experience in a HR role with a Master’s degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a HR role with a Bachelor’s degree in a HR-Related program, or 2 years in a HR role with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-HR degree program.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a HR role with less than a Bachelor’s degree in a HR-Related program, or a minimum of 4 years in a HR role with less than a Bachelor’s degree in a non-HR degree program.

SPHR (HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources)

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Master’s degree or higher, OR
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a Bachelor’s degree.

SHRM-SCP (SHRM – Senior Certified Professional)

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a HR role with less than a Bachelor’s degree in a HR-Related program, or a minimum of 7 years of experience in a HR role with less than a Bachelor’s degree in a Non-HR Program.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a HR role with a Bachelor’s degree in a HR-Related program, or 5 years of experience in a HR role with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-HR degree program.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a HR role with a HR-Related Master’s degree or higher, or 4 years in a HR role with a non-HR related Master’s degree or higher.
